Chamber of Commerce Luncheon
January 10, 2014
Speaker: Rich Conrad, Newly Retired City Manager
How has Mercer Island grown in comparison to the Puget Sound area? To King County?
What do you want to know about the Town Center? How did we get the 'tall' buildings? What about the present Park n' Ride, a new Park and Ride, and the town center parking issue in general?
What about Sound Transit, the Transit Station and light rail construction on the HOV lanes of I-90? When is that going to happen?
Rich was City Manager for 23 years. He started working for the City in 1979 in Parks and Recreation (almost 35 years ago) so he knows a lot - most of which he'll tell you.
Questions about the history of almost anything on Mercer Island? Come to lunch. "Ask Rich!"
