Speaker: Congressman Adam Smith
9th District
Representative Adam Smith will be speaking at the May membership luncheon. With the re-districting after the 2010 Census, Mercer Island, Bellevue, and Renton became part of the 9th Congressional District. Rep. Smith's district extends from Tacoma to Kirkland.
Congressman Smith, is in his 8th term, is the Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee where he is a strong advocate for our military personnel and their families. He has also served on the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
The late Jennifer Dunn was the last Congressional Representative to speak at a Chamber luncheon. Rep. Smith is anxious to get to know Mercer Island, the business community and the residents.
This luncheon is open to the community so please make your reservations as soon as possible.
