What can we do to help?

 

One of the things that is always in the back of my mind is how to increase the return on our member’s investments in the Chamber.   What can be done to help the membership?  Times like these really bring this concern into laser focus.

 

The Home-based Business Roundtable is an idea that worked in the past and seemed like it would once again be a benefit to many the members.  Turnout for the first meeting showed that to be true.

An idea that seems to be successful in other chambers is a  m2m discount program – a member to member discount program.  The name is self-explanatory.  Members offer other members cost-saving opportunities.  It might be a 10% discount on a service or merchandise.  It could be a free consultation, or reward for a referral.  We’d like to give it a try.

There will be a specific section of the newsletter listing the name and discount offered by participating businesses.  The offer can be changed before the 10th of each month so you can offer different promotions.  There is no cost for this program – it is a benefit of membership.
